VISANI PURE (HOCL) 4L
VISANI PURE MULTI-SURFACE DISINFECTANT
HYPOCHLOROUS ACID (HOCL)
What is VISANI PURE?
VISANI PURE is a highly oxidized weakly acidic antimicrobial solution, which is produced by combining water and salt through the electrolyzing process. The resultant product is a solution of Hypochlorous Acid (HOCL). HOCL is more efficient at killing microbial pathogens than chlorine bleach. It is used as a Multi-Surface Disinfectant. It is safe and effective for hard and soft surfaces.
VISANI PURE is a non-irritant and is also stable in solution. It has the power to prevent and control infections wherever risk occurs in homes and in the domestic environment. It can also be used at high concentrations for direct contact without requiring a post-rinse
What is Hypochlorous acid (HOCL)?
Hypochlorous acid is a naturally occurring chemical that is produced by our white blood cells to fight bacteria and inflammation after infection. It's also the active ingredient in electrolyzed oxidizing water or anolyte water that is effective against invading bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Hypochlorous acid is now used in healthcare, food safety, water treatment, and general sanitation.
History of Hypochlorous acid
- Michael Faraday founded the laws of electrolysis and it became commercially available in the 1870s.
- HOCL was used to irrigate and disinfect wounds among soldiers in WWI.
- Generating HOCL from the electrochemical activation (ECA) of saltwater was develop in the 1970s.
How does Hypochlorous acid work?
Hypochlorous Acid destroys pathogens immediately upon contact by damaging cell walls or inactivates the pathogen by entering and disrupting proteins, lipids, and DNA.
Why is HOCL more efficient at killing pathogens?
Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) vs. Alcohol (Ethanol)
Alcohol: Alcohol is hypertonic (dehydrates the skin). Alcohol is toxic and in most cases burns and stings both intact skin and minor wounds. Alcohol has negative side effects. Alcohol can be necrotic.
Hypochlorous Acid: HOCL is hypotonic (pulls moisture into the skin). HOCL is non-cytotoxic and non-necrotic. HOCL is both non-irritating and non-sensitizing to all intact skin and minor wounds. The more HOCL applied, the better. Frequent and regular applications will help accelerate the healing process and return your skin back to its healthy state.
Hypochlorous Acid (HOCL) vs. Sodium Hypochlorite (Chlorine Bleach)
Hypochlorite (bleach) ion carries a negative electrical charge, while hypochlorous acid (HOCL) carries no electrical charge. The hypochlorous acid moves quickly, able to oxidize the bacteria in a matter of seconds, while the hypochlorite ion might take up to a half-hour to do the same. Germ surfaces carry a negative electrical charge which results in a repulsion of the negatively charged hypochlorite ion, making hypochlorite ion less effective at killing germs. The hypochlorous acid's lack of electrical charge allows it to more efficiently penetrate the protective barriers surrounding germs.
Is it safe?
Yes! Our own body produces Hypochlorous Acid when white blood cells attack invading pathogens. Unlike chlorine (bleach), HOCL is noncarcinogenic and won't harm skin, eyes, or lungs. Its slight acidity means it doesn't release chlorine gas. Plus, it's food-safe and non-flammable, making it great to use for sanitizing and disinfecting.
How can it be used?
VISANI PURE HOCL can replace toxic concentrated chemical disinfectants for cleaning and disinfecting in common areas. In addition, it can be used to clean and disinfect all contact surfaces. Apply VISANI PURE (HOCL) solution with a paper towel, cloth, mop, sponge, spray. Treated surfaces must remain wet. Allow the surface to dry. VISANI PURE HOCL can also be applied in Ultrasonic Air Humidifier to broadly disinfect rooms and the air. Use daily or as often as desired.
VISANI PURE Hypochlorous Acid Disinfectant is a ready-to-use formula and is the answer to your disinfecting and sanitizing needs.
