PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
MBBR is an advanced and economical wastewater treatment process for the industrial and municipal systems. MBBR solutions significantly increase the capacity and efficiency of existing wastewater treatment plants with low energy consumption. MBBR involves organic waste removal by nitrification and denitrification.
The MBBR technology is a widely used waste water treatment process based on biofilm principles. These solutions use plastic media to grow the bacteria, which is retained in the reactor while an aeration system pumps oxygen to allow the bacteria to provide the treatment required.The bacteria grow on these internal surface of the carriers and breakdown the organic substances from the waste water. The sludge aeration system keeps the carriers with activated sludge moving. The excess sludge thus separates from the moving carriers and will flow with the treated water for final separation.
