AW-D309
Addressable Input/Output Module
The AW-D309 is a 2-wire addressable input/output (I/O) module used to control fire linkage equipment and monitor external device states. It features non-polar 2-wire loop communication, software addressing via a coder, and flexible input configurations.
Primary Function & Applications
Output Control: Triggers external fire linkage and auxiliary safety equipment during an alarm condition. Typical connected devices include:
- Fire dampers & blow valves
- Smoke extraction dampers & fans
- Elevator recall systems, door holders, and sounders
Input Monitoring & Feedback: Receives status signals (feedback) from field equipment to confirm whether the triggered linkage equipment operated normally.
Key Features
- Wiring: 2-wire non-polarized loop bus connection (easy installation and low cabling requirements).
- Addressing: Configured electronically via an external programmer tool (e.g., AW-CODER2188).
- Input Mode Configuration: Customizable normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) input setting.
- Mounting Base: Designed for installation on standard matching mounting bases (e.g., DZ9058).
- LED Status Indicators: Visual indicators for inspection/polling status, output activation, and feedback/input signals.
