Fire Blanket

The AW-FB Series Fire Blanket is a fast-response safety tool designed to smother small, initial-stage fires (such as kitchen grease fires or clothing fires) by depriving the flames of oxygen.

Constructed from woven fiberglass material, it provides a non-flammable barrier that withstands high temperatures without melting or catching fire.

Key Features & Operational Logic

  • Oxygen Starvation: Smothers Class A (combustibles like wood/paper) and Class F/K (cooking oils and fats) fires by cutting off the air supply.
  • Rapid Deployment: Housed in a quick-release container with two protruding flame-retardant pull tabs. Pulling the tabs down instantly unfolds the blanket for deployment.
  • Body Protection: Can be wrapped around a person whose clothing has caught fire or used as a heat shield during an emergency evacuation.
  • Zero Maintenance: Unlike pressurized fire extinguishers, it requires no annual pressure testing or chemical refills—only periodic visual inspection for fabric damage.
  • Clean Suppression: Leaves no residue, mess, or chemical damage on surrounding appliances or kitchen surfaces after use.

How to Use the AW-FB Fire Blanket

  • Pull: Grab the two quick-release black straps pulling down firmly to release the blanket from its container.
  • Shield: Hold the blanket by the corners, folding the edge back over your hands to protect them from heat.
  • Cover: Place (do not throw) the blanket gently over the flames to seal off air.
  • Isolate: Turn off the heat source (e.g., stove or burner) immediately.
  • Cool: Leave the blanket over the burn area until it is completely cold to the touch before removing.
