PPR GATE VALVE
ZYPE PPR GATE VALVE
PPR gate valve is a type of isolation valve designed specifically for polypropylene random copolymer (PPR) piping systems. It uses a gate or wedge that moves up and down to start or stop the flow of fluid.
Key Features
Composite Structure: While the body is made of PPR, high-quality valves utilize a composite structure. This usually involves a PPR outer layer for chemical resistance and thermal insulation, combined with a metal (often brass or bronze) inner thread and gate component. This design provides the structural strength and wear resistance of metal where it is needed most, without sacrificing the corrosion resistance of plastic.
Flow Efficiency: The gate is designed for a straight-through flow path. When fully open, the valve creates very little resistance to the water flow (low flow coefficient). This makes it much more efficient than a valve like a PPR stop valve, which changes the direction of the flow.
Leak-Proof: Heat fusion welding creates a joint that is as strong as the pipe itself, significantly reducing the chance of leaks at the connection points.
Thermal Stability: Capable of handling hot and cold fluids, with efficiency up to 95°C
Long-Lasting & Durable: Known for high durability with a lifespan exceeding 50 years.
