Operation Cycles
The F64AC is a 5-stage manual valve. You switch between functions by rotating the handwheel to the following positions:
- Service: Normal water softening mode.
- Backwash: Flushes the resin bed to remove accumulated sediment.
- Brine & Slow Rinse: Draws brine (saltwater) into the tank to regenerate the resin and rinses it slowly.
- Brine Refill: Refills the brine tank with water to prepare for the next cycle.
- Fast Rinse: Settles the resin bed and removes any remaining brine before returning to service.
Key Features
- Manual Regeneration: The valve features a simple handle that rotates 360°, allowing manual control over starting regeneration cycles.
- Ceramic Sealing Technology: It uses high-planarity, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant ceramic discs for opening and closing, ensuring a reliable seal that prevents leaks and minimizes maintenance.
- Flexible Installation: The F64AC is intended for side mounting on the tank, but it can be converted for top mounting with an optional connector. When installing it on the side of the tank, a separate side-mounting connector kit is required.
- Regeneration Operation: During the regeneration process, the valve is designed to prevent water from passing to the outlet in single-tank systems. This ensures that hard water does not enter the downstream plumbing while the system is cleaning itself.
- Adaptability for Filtration: If a water softening function is unnecessary, the brine port can be sealed, allowing the valve to serve as a manual filter for various applications.
