UPVC COUPLING THREAD
UPVC coupling thread, or female threaded adapter, is a specialized fitting designed to connect a UPVC pipe to a male-threaded component. It acts as a crucial bridge between plastic piping systems.
Design and Function
The defining characteristic of this fitting is its hybrid design, which features two different types of connection ends on a single component.
One End: Solvent-Weld Socket (Slip End). This end is smooth on the inside and designed to fit over the outside of the standard UPVC pipe. A permanent, leak-proof connection is created using a specialized primer and solvent cement.
The Other End: Female Threaded Connection: This end has internal threads designed to receive a male-threaded pipe or fitting. This allows for a mechanical connection that can be assembled and disassembled.
