UPVC FLANGE DOUBLE
UPVC flange doublem (often called two-piece flange, backing ring flange, or van stone flange) is a specialized pipe fitting used to join UPVC pipes to valves, pumps, or other piping systems. Unlike a one-piece fixed flange, it consists of two distinct components that work together to create a secure, high-pressure seal.
Anatomical Components
- The Stub End (Flange Adaptor): This is the "wet" part of the fitting.
- One side is a socket for solvent welding onto the uPVC pipe.
- The other side feature flat, wide face that holds the gasket.
- The Backing Ring (The "Loose" Piece): A circular ring that slides over the pipe before the stub end is welded on.
- It contains the bolt holes.
- Since it rotates freely, it makes aligning bolt holes with the mating flange incredibly easy.
