UPVC INSIDE REDUCER
UPVC INSIDE REDUCER
UPVC inside reducer plain (adapter) is a compact, injection-moulded fitting used to join two pipes of different diameters in a rigid plastic piping system.
Primary Function
Size Transition: To connect a smaller pipe directly into a larger pipe or fitting.
Flow Direction: It allows for a reduction (or increase, depending on flow direction) in pipeline diameter while maintaining a watertight seal.
Advantages
Space-Saving: It is much shorter than using a bushing plus a coupling, making it ideal for tight spaces.
Direct Connection: It provides a direct, two-point connection without requireing multiple fittings.
Strength: Because it is a simple molded piece (unlike a threaded bushing), it has no weak points and maintains the structural integrity of the pipeline.
Chemical Resistance: Like all uPVC, it resists degradation from a wide range of chemicals and is not subject to galvanic corrosion.
Standard: Manufactured to ASTM D2466 (schedule 40)
